"When my husband and I decided to live in Huatulco for 6 months every year, it was important for me to learn the Spanish language. My husband already had good language skills, but I did not. It was also important that I find someone with years of experience in teaching English speaking students, knowledgeable, patient, loves teaching, and from someone of which to feel comfortable learning.
Two years ago, I began private lessons with Miguel twice a week. When I return to the United States, we continue our studies through Skype.
Miguel is an incredible teacher. When we met, he asked me what I wanted from my classes. I told him that I wanted more from the language than just conversation. I wanted to learn grammar, vocabulary, and good pronunciation. I knew this would be challenging for me and I knew Miguel was up to the challenge. He has made learning fun and exciting. Miguel is very patient with me, encouraging me and challenging me without overwhelming me. He works at a pace that works very well for me.

"Miguel has been our Spanish teacher for a few years now. My husband and I have done both in-person classes when possible and online via Skype. He is very professional and organized. His classes are structured with proper lessons and workbooks and yet fun at the same time. He teaches us not only the language but also Mexican culture and history and throws in a game from time to time (ie, name 10 colors in Spanish, 10 things you can see right now, etc.). He improvises when necessary; for example, if we need extra time learning something, he won't proceed to the next lesson and will come up with some extra homework on the topic aside from the workbook. We highly recommend Miguel for all your Spanish learning needs!"
